Venus and Neptune spice up Valentine's Day
February is marked as important for many reasons, but there’s no doubt that Valentine’s Day right in the middle of the month makes this a romantic time for many. In recognition of that fact, our lead article gives us an astrological view of love, first through a look at the life, thoughts, and poetry of Kahlil Gibran, and then through some observations on the astrological similarities and differences of the co-authors of a book on modern romance.
One pleasant thing about Valentine’s Day itself this year is the fact that as memories of the love, kisses, flowers, and candy begin to fade, a very romantic combination of two planets forms in the sky. We’re speaking of course of the conjunction of Venus and Neptune, and though it is exact on the 21st, the connection between the two begins to build just after the 14th, and its effect will still be felt to some degree on the 28th. This gives the whole month a nice touch, no matter what else may have gone on, happy or sad, in February.
