Important COVID19 Update: Before giving my usual quick take on this month’s feature articles, I want to point you to two important perspectives on the current pandemic in “Tomorrow’s News” (page 26) and “The New Astrology” (page 30). The first covers a “gathering storm” of planetary movements that affects what might happen with the pandemic in the fall, and how this might in turn affect world events in general. The second offers some important thoughts, advice, and encouragement on astrology’s role in what we are all dealing with in regard to the pandemic. An additional note: in our upcoming October issue we will have an article dealing in more detail with the pandemic and with the astrology of pandemics and plagues in general.
Our feature articles this month deal with an important current transit and with a way to use your birth Moon as a daily planner. The transit involves Mars in its own sign Aries for an unusually long period of time: 194 days! This is a powerful planet in most circumstances, but in its own sign for that length of time it can be overbearing—unless you know how to handle it. The article about the Moon explains a special monthly chart called the “lunar return” that if used correctly can help you take advantage of opportunities, and lessen personal challenges as you go through each month.
